Here are some random pictures. I keep thinking that life will slow down. I really don't see that happening anytime soon. Christmas went by fast and along with that came birthdays. Maybe after my sister-in-law Jacquie has there second baby in April.

We went ice skating in Oklahoma.

We were in OK for new years all the cousins were together.

Mom and Dad are a host family. This is Mallory's new friend Juliette.

Mallory loves her American doll. It is from Gran and Pops.

All the cousins were given capes by Aunt Vickie. They love them.

Up date

So I missed November. We had a good month. Mallory lost two more teeth. We were in the van coming home and she said “Mom can you pull my tooth, it is ready.” So I did it right there in the van. Philip and I just about passed out because it was so easy. Then two days later she asks if I could pull the other one. Again it was so easy. Who would have thought?
On the Monday before Thanksgiving Philip, Mallory and I had Family pictures made. It was crazy but we got some good picture.
Thanksgiving was fun with family here. Mallory did get sick that night. Kylee was in the bed with her and had to have a bath at 1am. No fun! But all in all we had a good time. Jason and Jacquie were coming back from Hawaii on the day after Thanksgiving Day. The plan was to go to Dallas and have Thanksgiving with them and then go to Brannon’s uncle’s lake house. On Saturday the ladies (Jacquie, Terri –Jacquie’s-Mom, Andrea, Dorothy-Mom, me and Katie) were to get up and go to Canton. Gran, Pops, and Andrea’s family went to the lake house. We stayed home because Mallory got sick. Katie and I drove up to Canton so we would not miss out on the shopping. Mallory and Philip stayed home and did a lot of nothing. I did not have a camera for Thanksgiving so, no pictures.
Monday Dec. 1 we put up our Christmas tree. I could not stand the thought of not having a camera for that. So, I bought my own Christmas gift. I do have pictures of the tree going up. Philip and Mallory made hot chocolate mix while I made dinner. They must have used ever big container that I had. I finally got out a roasting pan. That worked best. It was funny watching them. Philip was very patient with her. We had a good night of family fun.

So much fun. Mix everywhere!

Mallory enjoyed putting on the ornaments.

We have been busy around here. Hurricane Ike sent Mallory and I to Dallas. Philip stayed at work for the storm. He was on the disaster recovery team. Work did put him and others on the team at the Marriott when the power came on. Mallory and I stayed at Jacquie and Jason's. Mom met us there. We spent a lot of time with Andrea and her girls. We came back on September 19th. The power at the house came on as we drove home. We hit the ground running. For some reason it is hard to find time to blog with a first grader.

This weekend has been crazy and it is not over. I took Mallory to have Halloween pictures made on Friday then we went to the Little Gym for a carnival which was a zoo. There were so many people there you could hardly turn around. On Saturday Mallory had a birthday party and our church had a fall festival. On Sunday we have church and a fall festival at the school I teach at.

Here are some pictures of the weekend. Mallory is "Gabriella" from High School Musical.

Bus ride

Well I finally got up the courage to let Mallory ride the bus. Philip stayed with her till she got on. I couldn't watch, but did from a distance. Took the picture as they drove off. Philip said he is going to miss his riding partner this morning.

Labor Day Weekend

All of my family met in Dallas for the weekend. We had a great time with all. On Sunday, the first, we had family pictures made at a near by park. There was church group there playing music. The girls wanted to be by the music to dance. We let them run around but not up the stairs where the others were.

Aunt Jacquie and Uncle Jason had a friend from college and her little boy stayed Saturday night. We all went to church together and then to lunch. The kids had a blast on the mechanical horses at the restaurant.

Thanks Gran and Pops for all the fun!

First day of 1st grade

We took Mallory to school this morning. First day of 1st grade. She was very excited. I walked her in and Philip drove around. We ask her if she would like to go in by herself but she said no. As we entered we saw Mrs.Shawn Dickinson leaving. With cam corder in hand she talked to Mallory. She walked down the hall very confidently and spoke to people she knew from last year. One adult was a little shocked but glad Mallory spoke to her. Mallory said " Hi Mrs Bailsman" Mrs Bailsman said "Hi Mallory" with a smile on her face. Then we walked into the class room Mallory as happy as could be said " Hi Mrs. Moore". Emptied her backpack and put her lunch box up and sat down at her desk and started working. You would thought she knew what to do. It is impressive to see her at school. You see a little nerves and a little excitement.

little news

Not sure where to start. Andrea ans her family moved to Dallas. We were all sad. Mallory has not said much. The one thing I can remember is "Can we go to Ria's new house" .I thing Mallory is ready to go back to Dallas. On Monday we had lunch at the mall with Katie. We went to the children's museum. I was watching Mallory interact with the others. She and one little girl introduced there self and then shook hands. It was really cute.

Last night Philip and I took Mallory to meet the teacher night. Would you believe Mallory bounce out of bed at 7:30AM ready to meet her teacher. I was not. Philip put her in the living room to play the wii. That work until 8:00AM. I some how convince her to not wear her first day of school dress. Out we went to pass the day by and wait for 3:30pm. We were headed out the door when I notice something on Mallory's short. So it was change shorts or take the top off and put on the dress. You got it she put on the dress. Her teacher will be Mrs. Moore. She seems like a very nice teacher. She did remember Mallory for lunch duty last school year. The other people we talked to said that we would like Mrs. Moore she is a wonderful teacher.
Mallory is ready and excited to go to school on Monday. More on that with pictures.
