Downtown Aquarium

We went on Saturday the 21st. Mallory played in the water fountain and loved it. We took a train ride through the park. They took us under their shark tank. Mallory was not to sure at first. Philip was able to convince her the sharks could not get her. They talked on the tour about a great white shark getting lost in the bayou. So, of course, around the corner there is a pond setting with a fishing house and a white shark jumps up and sprays water on you. Mallory did laugh at that. We then went into the aquarium. They had a lot of good things to look at. Mallory liked the fact there were snakes. She was determined to show them to me. I was not about to stand there and look at them with her. I would spot the snakes and move to the other side of the room. About five feet. Not far, but not right beside them either. We made our way through the aquarium to the "maharajah's temple". They have two real white tigers. It took a lot of convincing to get Mallory to stand next to the glass wall. She did it, but not to get the picture I wanted. I did get a picture so I am glad. We finished the day with the three other rides. We rode the carousel twice and the Ferris wheel. Mallory and Philip rode the other ride not sure what it was called. It would lift you up then drop you and you would bounce about three or four time. It whet through a set about three times.( I would have been sick.) Mallory and Philip had a good time.

Mallory would not touch the sting rays.

Health Museum

We went to the health museum on the June 20. The girls had fun. They would have had more fun if they had been boys the age of 10 are so. We watched a science show. Mallory was intrigued. The guy was a goofball. Philip would have liked him. We did laugh a lot.

Some how I got all three girls. OK they like to crawl over Aunt Becky and that is ok by me.
Kylee liked the teeth as a slide
Kenna liked having something to hold on to.

She could see how her bones and joints work when she rides her bike.

Houston Museum

I wanted to post this the other day, but Mallory NEEDED to ride her bike. So we went outside.
We had lots of fun at the science museum. Mallory ran around looking at things. We saw a 3D dinosaur movie. Mallory liked it but not too sure about the dinosaurs coming at her.

Family bike ride

You know that we give Mallory a big girl bike. Mallory decided it would be good if we all had bikes so for father's day we gave Philip bikes. Not just one, but two. Of course one is for me. I should say we used the gift that mom and dad gave him to help pay for them. On Sunday after Mallory and I had a two hour nap we went to the park. We got to North Shore park about 4:45. We went for a ride around lake woodlands. We went to Woodlands parkway to Grogan's Mill and around to the park. It took about a hour and a half . Mallory did GREAT!!! We stopped to show her the bridge from Woodlands parkway at the dragon park and got a drink, and stopped next to the pavilion where a courtyard with bathroom were put in. It is nice. Mallory needed to go potty. As we came off the lake woodlands bike bridge we are going a little fast. There are two sharp turns, one to the left and the other to the right. Mallory did great on the left one but then got scared and missed the right one. Luckily she had slowed some but fell anyway. She landed on the cable that is strung around the parking lot. She hit across her chest. Somehow I did not panic. There was a couple getting out of their car and saw Mallory fall. They are the ones that said she hit her chest. When you look at her you can tell. Thankfully she was not hurt bad. We stayed at the park and had a picnic and listened to the band that was there. About thirty minutes into the concert Mallory was ready to get back on her bike. We came home and let her ride with the neighborhood kids. I would say we had a great time on our first family bike ride.

This is happiness

Children's Museum

This is her boo boo. It is so sad.

Mallory's first time riding her big girl bike.

Out with the girls

Today we had Kylee and Kenna. We started off going to the library. The library was kicking off their summer reading program. There was a pitting zoo. Of course I for got the camera. Kylee was not so sure about the animals . She would not leave my side. Kenna not sure she know what was going on. Mallory like the animals a little. She wanted you to think she was not scared of them. We did see them bottle feed a baby deer. They used a 2 litter coke bottle. We went inside and there were hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels and limeade. Kenna was the most excited about the hot dogs. Kylee the popcorn and Mallory the books. We checked six out. Mallory read 2 on the way home. After lunch and "nape time " Kenna is the only on who took a nape. We went to the Children Museum. Kylee and Mallory played real good. Kenna thought she was as big as the others and tried to "walk". At on point they were playing with the train set. Kylee was going between to tables and tripped. She fell and hit her head on a table. She has a note on her right eye brow. It is amazing what pink milk can take care of. All in all we had a great day.

Gran's Thanks

Mallory, I miss you so much since I have come back to OK. You are a joy for Gran and Pops. I love it when I call and hear your laugh on the phone. Your laugh rings with fun that brightens up everyone's day. I want to thank you for helping to take care of me while I was healing from my broken arm. You were so sweet to carry things for me, help me close and open doors, assist me with my clothes, and so many other things. One my very favorite things was how tenderly you put shaving cream on my legs so your Mom could help me shave them. You are a wonderful caregiver so tender and kind like your Grandy.

We are all so proud of how well you did in Kindergarten. You have learned so much so fast. We are thankful for your desire to learn and teach others.

I am so glad you got a new bigger bike so you can ride it this summer. You and your friends seem to be having a grand time. Gran loves Mallory, Gran loves Mallory, Gran loves Mallory, very, very much.

The Beginning

We will see how if I can keep this updated.
Mallory is 6 years old and has finished kindergarten. She has learned to read and ride a two wheeler. She started riding Thursday June 5, 20008 and has not stopped. On her first day off from school she was up at 8am ready to ride. I was not. So we started at 9am. She road for two hours. If she is not riding she wants to be swimming. Here is hoping to sleep in.
